Makeup Breakdowns: Irene Ippoliti

Back in January, 18 year old Irene and I worked together at a shoot with photographer Scott Liptak. She’s cute and bubbly, and provides a wonderful canvas for a curious makeup artist

Eyes: Two peachy shades (one matte and one shimmer) were blended together on her lids. A deep cool brown shade was applied to the outer v and blended. A matte off-white shadow was blended onto her browbone (all were from the Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette). Sephora Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner in Keep Brown was applied to the upper and lower lashlines and blended to soften using a stiff eyeliner brush. Her amazing lashes were coated with Almay Lengthening Mascara in Black.

Cheeks: NARS Laguna Bronzer was blended slightly below her cheekbones, along her jawline and temples. Nix’ie Prosperity Blush was applied to the apples of her cheeks and blended out along her cheeks.

Lips: Bobbi Brown Lip Liner in Petal was used to line her lips. I mixed together Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks in Mauvy Night and Blushing Mauve and used the mixture to fill in the rest of her mouth.

New York has put up with all of this thus far, so here is where I reside. I can be reached for comments, questions, complaints, and incoherent babbling at:

Beautiful makeup. She’s gorgeous. So jealous of her pretty eyes.
