Makeup Breakdown: Sultry Look on Janna

A friend of a friend (who is now my friend too), Janna, came in one day for a photo session.

Her facial features and structure are really heavenly. I felt as though I was almost cheating, because doing her makeup was a breeze.

Face: After an application of moisturizer, I used Revlon concealer in Light to cover her blemishes. Then I blended Nix’ie Cream foundation in Ivory 1 on her face. This was all set with Ben Nye Neutral powder.

Eyes: Urban Decay Original primer went on first, then MAC Bronze and NYX Honeycomb shadows. Dark Brown and matte deep brown shadows went into her crease and outer v. Urban Decay Blunt was used to highlight her browbone. A full set of false lashes by NYX were applied to her upper lashline, then MAC Blacktrack fluidline was layered on the edge of the lashes, near her upper lashline. Black kohl liner was applied to her lower lashline, then smudged with brown shadow. Mascara coated her lower lashes. I squeezed her false and real lashes together with an eyelash curler.

Cheeks: A pale apricot shade from Nix’ie was swept along her cheekbones.

Lips: Nicka Nude pencil was used to line and fill in her mouth, then L’oreal Dune lipstick completed the lip look.
