Spoiled Nail Polish Swatches

I feel really good about this haul. I got 5 nail polishes for $3.89. The total would have been $15.51 without all my coupons and taking advantage of  a sale. The fifth polish is Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel in Snow Bunny. Here are the four Spoiled polishes I bought:

The Parking Meteor Expired

DSCN1893

It’s a deep jewel-toned greenish blue. It’s sort of like a blackened teal with shimmer.

Pirate’s Booty DSCN1901

My index finger wears two coats here. It’s prettier in the bottle, but on the nails it’s a very sheer layering nail polish. Nothing too remarkable. I was hoping it would be more glittery.

I Got So Plastered

I would like to go on record saying I dislike the name. I know they were trying to be cool, but….this just rubs me the wrong way. DSCN1898

It’s a sweet rose shimmer with yellow tones. It looks kinda like sherbet to me (always with the food references!) I’m curious to see how this would look mattified. I think it would better suit me.

Fair Metal

DSCN1889

In the bottle, FM is kinda silver-lavender. On my nails it’s more pewter silver. You can see visible nail line with this one. Still, it’s a pretty shade.

For the most part, application with these was fairly good. The best one to work with is The Parking Meteor Expired. I Got So Plastered is decent too, but the color just doesn’t wow me. If you’re lighter than I am you may like it.

  1. Clearly that pirate arrived kind of late to the treasure ;-)

The others are all pretty nice – I actually like Fair Metal a lot on you!

I agree the Plastered name is a fail. I really wish people would stop trying to make abject drunkenness cool. :-(
