I made a couple of shopping trips over the past few days, and here is what I bought:
Back row: China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, Essie Mini Winter 2010 Collection, OPI Plugged in Plum, Essie Mini Red Hot Fiesta Collection. Middle row: Sally Beauty Mini Purple & Pink polish, China Glaze Heart of Africa, China Glaze Ingrid, Revlon Vixen. Front row: Sally Mini Fuchsia polish, Revlon Plum Attraction.
Back row: Almay Oil-Free EM Remover (this is a staple for me). Middle: Revlon Super Lustrous l/s in Mulled Wine, Raisin Rage, Rum Raisin. Front: Sally Mini e/s in Champagne & Bronze, Sally Baked e/s in #388121 & #388126
Now for the fun part (well, shopping was fun, but that part is over): the swatches! I am mainly swatching the nail polishes and eyeshadows today. I will swatch the lippies in a separate post. 🙂
Revlon Plum Attraction
OPI Plugged in Plum
China Glaze Heart of Africa. I have been longing for this particular shade for over a year. Now that it is mine, it has fulfilled my expectations!
China Glaze Four Leaf Clover. This looks very blue, but it is really green.
Sally Mini Purple, Pink & Blue Polish. You could wear this on its own and apply a few coats, or layer it over an opaque polish.
I tried to swatch the Sally Mini Fuchsia polish, but it looked completely different on camera, to the point where I decided that it was useless to show the results.
As for the box sets, I saw on Temptalia.com that a few people were wondering if OPI Jade is the New Black was a dupe for Essie Going Incognito. I swatched these together, and threw in Orly Wandering Vine for comparison.
Essie Going Incognito, OPI JITNB, Essie GI, Orly Wandering Vine
The same treatment for China Glaze Ingrid and Essie Hot Coco. I swatched these at the same time.
Essie Hot Coco, China Glaze Ingrid, Essie Hot Coco, CG Ingrid
Essie Silken Cord
From the Red Hot Fiesta Collection: Essie Thigh High, Apertif, Fishnet Stockings, Jag-U-Are
Sally Mini eyeshadows in Champagne & Bronze, Sally Baked e/s # 388126 & # 388121
I made out like a bandit, huh? I will do a post soon on where I got the Essie boxed sets. They were only $12.89 each. The OPI Plugged in Plum was $6.99, and I received China Glaze Ingrid in a MakeupAlley swap. The Revlon and Almay products were purchased at Cosmetics Warehouse (check “More Money More Makeup” for info about this store).
