Natasha Poly Wedding Makeup

Have I ever told you I love weddings? I don’t really want to get married, ever. But I do love weddings (is that strange?). The feeling of euphoria emanating from the happy couple, the glee of the guests, flowing champagne, delicious gravity-defying cakes, and cute flower girls in dresses they’ll outgrow in five minutes. Ah, wedding bells make my heart sing.

So I was pleasantly surprised to find out that one of my favorite models, Natasha Poly, recently got hitched to Dutch businessman Peter Bakkar in Saint Tropez. I went giddy with happiness when I saw her gorgeous, fresh faced makeup look.

Compared to the two higher profile weddings of the year (The British Royal wedding and Kate Moss’s wedding), this happy occasion belonging to Natasha and Peter seemed to be quieter and less publicized (at least in the States). I just love Natasha’s look: smooth, perfect skin with no obvious traces of foundation, clean pink lips, a touch of pink blush, well shaped and groomed eyebrows and just enough eye makeup to enhance her green eyes. The two aforemnentioned famous weddings consisted of one bride who didn’t wear enough makeup (Kate Moss) and one who wore too much makeup (Princess Catherine). It’s so nice to see someone get it right for a change. Natasha looked smashing standing next to her beaming groom, and best of all, she looked like herself on her wedding day.

What do you guys think of Natasha’s look? Do any of you have weddings coming up? What sort of makeup look do you envision having at your own wedding?
