MAC Sparkle Neely, Sparkle! Swatches and Comparisons

I know a lot of people wanted to know if there are any possible dupes or substitutes for the Blogger’s Obsession collection. The creators of the collection decided against comparing the products in that collection against anything else out there out of respect for their fellow creators and bloggers. Luckily, I had no involvement in that collection, so I am a free agent.

I pulled out everything I had that vaguely resembled SNS! and swatched them alongside the Real Deal.

Left to Right:
1) NARS Cordura Duo (dark side)
2) NARS Cordura Duo (light side)
3) NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Palette (third shade from the left at the bottom)
4) MAC Sparkle Neely, Sparkle!
5) BFTE Gable
6) NARS Galapagos
7) BFTE Golden Age
8 ) MAC Sparkle Neely, Sparkle!

On my skin, the red tones in MAC SNS! are more visible. The closest shade I could find to SNS! is the lighter side in NARS Cordura. Before you start jumping up and down, there are differences. Cordura’s lighter shade is more brown than red, so they are not exactly the same. They do have a similar brown base and a healthy amount of sparkles, but SNS! is noticeably more red. Quite by accident, I discovered that one of the shades in the NYX Nude on Nude palette is very similar to NARS Galapagos. Talk about a happy accident.

NARS products can be found at Sephora or www.narscosmetics.com
BFTE Cosmetics can be found at http://www.bftecosmetics.com/
NYX can be found at www.cherryculture.com, or www.nyxcosmetics.com
And finally, MAC Cosmetics can be found at www.maccosmetics.com. If you are not an American or Canadian resident, you can enter my Sparkle Neely, Sparkle! giveaway, found here

What do you guys think of the comparisons? Is NARS Cordura a better option for you?
