Which Local Brands Do You Love?

Every city/country’s got something special. France has the Eiffel Tower. New York has Times Square and Broadway. China has the Great Wall.

So to us makeup aficionados, beauty products hold a special place in out hearts and towns. What I want to know is, what makeup line are you happy to have in your country that isn’t widely available elsewhere? The United Kingdom has Barry M, India has Lakme and Chambor, Canada has Annabelle Cosmetics. These brands are intriguing to me, namely because I have a hard time getting them! In NYC, I can buy lots and lots of various cosmetics, but my greedy little heart yearns to try out international brands. 😀

So which brands are you grateful to have access to?

About themakeuptrain

Beauty/product junkie hiding behind the title of certified makeup artist (that's the excuse I use for my makeup addiction). I am a human pet to two cats, a full time college student majoring in Cultural Anthropology and an organic food enthusiast (read: organic food freak) who cooks, bakes, and has not burned down the kitchen (I'm waiting for it). New York has put up with all of this thus far, so here is where I reside. I can be reached for comments, questions, complaints, and incoherent babbling at: themakeuptrain@yahoo.com

All the way from the Philippines, I love our Fanny Serrano (& its sub-brand, Fashion21), Ever Bilena and Nichido.
They were once ignored for being brands for the ~lower social classes~ (hate the term but the wide rich-poor gap in my society dictates it) but they’re becoming more mainstream nowadays due to a growing number of FIlipino-run blogs. 😀
