NYX’s new line of black liners, dubbed “Collection Noir” evokes a sexy and mysterious air of smoky eye looks and intensely dark eyes. Let’s see how dark eyeliner can get, shall we?
From the website:
“Seize the hard to reach corners and points of your eyes with the Skinny Black Liner. The thin mechanical pencil offers the perfect assistance to complete a flawless look!
Let your eyes be the star of the show with Collection Noir! The collection carries eight different formulations of sleek black eyeliners, from matte, satin, glossy pencils to liquid and powder eyeliners. Drape your eyes with one or all of these waterproof, smudge-free formula liners. The collection offers various types of eyeliners that applies smooth and effortlessly for lasting and dramatic wear.”
It’s skinny alright!
I do like the fine tip it provides.
The fine tip does allow for a precise and tug-free application. The color is very black when swatched.
On my lashlines, it is not as dark as I would like. I was thinking it would be kajal-type dark, considering the advertising behind this. My complexion is darker, so perhaps lighter skinned folks would experience a blacker look.
The claims of “waterproof, smudge-free” are pretty empty, I am sad to say. 😦 I splashed water on my face to test this liner out, and wound up with raccoon eyes. It smudged very badly throughout the day. It did not last much longer than 3 hours, even with primer helping out.
Pros: Smooth application, fine tip for precise placement.
Cons: Not waterproof or smudge-proof, not too black, lasts for a short time.
I had such high hopes for this liner. I love NYX, but they failed with this one.
