Beauty Routine for Traveling?

Whenever I travel, I pack a few beauty essentials: sunblock or moisturizer, concealer, powder, eyeshadow and lipstick. If I am going to a special event (i.e: a wedding), I will pack all the makeup I will be wearing to the event.

For the most part, makeup is not heavy or dramatic during my vacations. I am more concerned about taking in all the sights than teal eyeliner. 🙂

As for my hair, I never use the hotel shampoo that is in the bathroom.  I use a small bottle and decant my favorite shampoo. I save sample sized bottles for this purpose. Nowadays, I would carry my solid shampoo bar with me. If it is short trip, I wash my hair at home and wait until I get back before I wash my hair again. As a quick fix, I rub a dab of lotion in my hair if I’ve forgotten my hair conditioner.

What about you? Do you have any ideas for traveling light makeup-wise?

Oh I always overpack, not in terms of makeup but certainly in terms of shampoo/hair mask/toner/and the like. I’ll do a post when I get ready for my trip back home though, because at the moment I don’t really know what I’ll pack haha

I don’t travel much, haha! I really need to get out more. If I do I usually stay with family so I can “borrow” their shampoo, etc. I always take waaaaay to much makeup because I need choices!
