L’Oreal Project Runway Fall 2012 Collection- The Mystic’s Kiss

The Mystic’s Kiss is THE purple I have been waiting for. A real purple with berry leanings, but still distinctly purple.

It’s a tricky shade. I swatched it on my arm:

Swatched 1x; swatched 3x

With flash:

Swatched 1x; swatched 3x

It looks very berry pink. But when I wore it on my lips, it was an actual purple color! It faded a bit (more than I would have liked) into a berryish shade, but once I reapplied it gave me that beautiful purple I love.

My one qualm about this lipstick is that it does need to be reapplied frequently. That can be a nuisance. But if you’re looking for a purple lipstick at the drugstore, check this one out.

It has a slightly vanilla/sweet scent that is not so overwhelming to me. Then again, I am not hypersensitive to scent. It does contain shimmer, but I found it to be tolerable.

I purchased this at CVS for about $10. It is limited edition.

It actually doesn’t look as intimidating swatched!
