Review: Face Stockholm BB Natural Beauty Balm SPF 30 Sunscreen in Dark

Entering the world of BB creams, Face Stockholm released its own version of the popular face product.

It comes in a convenient compact for additional application on the go.

From the website:

“Hydrate, prime, conceal and protect.

The velvety cream formula in this multitasking cream compact offers superior coverage, that blends easily, virtually melting into the skin, to diffuse imperfections and impart an even, clean complexion that appears almost makeup-free.

Worn alone for light coverage or used as a primer to boost the staying power of foundation, this incredible cream evens skin tone and imparts a healthy, natural glow. Titanium and Zinc Oxides provide UVA/UVB sun protection, while Vitamin E provides antioxidant-rich moisture and Spilanthes Flower Extract helps relax fine lines and wrinkles.”

My thoughts:

This BB cream does feel very silky going on. It blended well and didn’t break me out. It never felt heavy or thick. The color I was sent for review is Dark, which is not my shade match, but there are only two options and Light wouldn’t have been my shade either. When I blended a little more, the color became more suitable.

I found the coverage to be more on the sheerer side. If you have great skin, this could be a good everyday product. If you want something with more coverage, you should try an actual foundation.

I think this would work very well as a face primer for most people. I wore it under foundation and it did extend the staying power of my L’Oreal True Match by a few hours.

I love the feeling of it under my fingers and on my skin. I’m hoping the company will expand the shade range to accommodate more skin tones.  Like most BB creams, this will work best for those with normal to dry skin types.

Pros: Great formula, works as a face primer, great for light coverage.
Cons: Limited shade range, does not do much for blemished skin.

Grade: B+

Full Disclosure:  Product samples were furnished by the manufacturer for consideration. I do not write paid reviews. All opinions are my own.
