Essie Mint Candy Apple

You guys…..she’s here!

I finally bought Mint Candy Apple. It’s  a highly treasured and desired shade. Granted, my bottle is a mini, but we all know I would never finish  a full sized bottle.

Unless I drank it. *eyes dart side to side, sneaks off with the bottle*

It’s described as a “creme de menthe” nail polish.

It’s a cool mint blue creme. It’s like China Glaze For Audrey’s paler (but just as stunning) sister.

For a mint shade, application is pretty good. Only minimal streaking. I wish I could say it applies like a dream (or like Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes), but it’s pretty darn close to a dream. If being stranded on a desert island with Brad Pitt were a dream, MCA would be stranded on the island of Manhattan during a snow storm, and the only store open is the Donut Pub!

Come to think of it, the almost-dream would be the actual dream……. 😀

I’m impressed with the opacity on this one! Usually I tend to think of the pastel shades as being kind of, I dunno…watery. I’m not even sure where I got that from – I don’t really own pastel polishes! 😛

    • You’re right about that. I think that’s one of the reasons MCA takes cult status: it’s a mint creme that applies quite well. All I know is, I might hoard a few more bottles. 😀
