Tuesday Talk: Self Care Sessions Vol. 2

How has your week been, beauty?

I dealt with some issues this past week. A former friend blocked me on social media just for disagreeing with him when he said something racist. I’m trying to keep my emotions cool about it, but my anxiety kicked up when I saw the “You’re blocked” message and I got a little angry about it. I don’t handle rejection well and it bothers me that he would do this. I helped this person out a lot in the past. It stung a little to be treated this way.

To recover, I did the following:

  1. Listened to Haddaway’s “What is Love?“. It’s a fun dance song from 1993. I love popular dance songs from the early 90s. I used to dance to this song when I was in the 2nd grade.
  2. Ate some Lindt Lychee chocolate. It’s really good.
  3. Chased Zoe around the apartment. She loves it and I love it too.
  4. I swatched and photographed enough product for 18 posts! Wow! Editing and uploading them took me 3 hours. It’s a relief to get all of that out of the way.
  5. I went to the beauty supply store and purchased some lipsticks and the LA Girl corrector in Orange. Of course, reviews are forthcoming. 🙂

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about the falling out with your friend. I’ve definitely been there before. It gets easier though. 😦

    I always feel so accomplished after swatching and photographing so much in a day. But man does that processing take forever and a day!

      It does feel really rewarding to do so much in a day! Processing can take a hike for all I care. 😛 It's a real pain in the butt. Lol.

  2. Lindt chocolate is goood! And you know what? Screw that ‘friend’. People don’t always agree on everything, that’s life, and if he can’t deal with that, well, then you’re better off without him.

    You do not need that person in your life. What a jerk. I’ve had people just stop talking to me. It has bugged me because I never know the reason why. Chocolates make everything better. You go girl! 18 posts! I need to take some pictures this weekend.
