Tuesday Talk: Self Care Sessions Vol. 13

How you doing, sweetie? I had a better week than I thought I would. On Saturday I took advantage of a free concert offered through The New York Public Library. It was called “An Afternoon of Flute and Piano” and it featured flutist Norman Dee and pianist Josephine Chang Yang. They are amazing musicians!

After the concert (the auditorium is in Lincoln Center) we went to the Met Opera Gift Shop and browsed. I think as far as gift shops go this one has many nice things. I didn’t expect to buy anything, but I spied a gorgeous CZ and pearl brooch for just $24. I bought it. 🙂

I will show you the brooch tomorrow in a separate post.

I exercised consistently this past week. I feel proud of myself! I having been trying to lose weight so this is very good news for the long term plans I have.

I kinda had a hard day at work yesterday. I’ve been experiencing harassment at work from a patient who is much older than I am. I told the nurse and doctor I work for, and they agreed that I didn’t have to deal with him if I felt uncomfortable around him. He still tries to force his attention on me. This makes me feel unsafe.

So on those terms my week was not great but I am proud of myself for what I did accomplish.

What did you do this week?
