The lovely Ankita of Corallista first made me aware of this bronzer.
Her (and my shade) is 52, the darker one available. 51 is the lighter bronzer. According to the Superdrug website, 51 is Medium and 52 is Tanned.
When a friend of mine went to the UK, I asked her to pick this up for me. Bourjois is no longer available in the U.S. I remember it being sold at Sephora when I was a teenager.
The bronzer contains little flecks of gold shimmer to create a soft glowing effect on the face.
The product is pressed into a chocolate bar shape. It’s rather cute. 🙂
It also smells like cocoa. It’s a nice surprise for chocolate lovers.
I typically use a fan brush to diffuse color onto my cheeks.
The swatch was done with an eyeshadow brush to show you the depth of color.
As you can see, it’s not too dark or heavy. A little bit goes a long way.
It’s worth noting that this bronzer on my face darkens my complexion. It’s an effect I like and have experienced in the past with a Physician’s Formula bronzer. I just need to be careful to adjust my makeup accordingly. If you are currently using a foundation that is a bit light check this out. It could warm up your face and bring your foundation to the correct tone.
