I’m going through as many drugstore eyeliners as I can. I of course had to review the one that contains both liquid eyeliner and a lash enhancing serum.
Physician’s Formula decided that eyeliners should do more for you than just give you winged eyeliner and/or panda eyes (depending on how great your skills are or how sleepy you are when you apply your makeup). It claims to help your lashes grow and look fuller with the added serum.
The packaging is quite nice: sleek, silver and easy to slide into a purse.
I like the applicator tip. It’s flexible, making it hard to injure oneself.
Ah….so here is where it gets sad. The eyeliner applies smoothly and doesn’t skip or tug on the skin. It is, however, not that pigmented.
What you see here is the shade after about 6 weeks of use. It was blacker when I first started using it. Still, it was not Ultra Black. It just kept getting lighter and lighter in shade.
I think I did see an improvement in my lashes. After about a week of use my lashes did look fuller and more lush. I was expecting an intense black eyeliner and no effects on my lashes, but I found the opposite instead.
Pros: Does boost lashes, nice applicator and packaging, affordable, nice black color during the first few uses.
Cons: Black color weakens in pigment over time.
