Today I will be reviewing two of the shades I received in my gift haul: Tulle and Lychee.
On the left is Tulle, the right is Lychee.
Lychee is described as a “bright warm violet”.
Tulle is described as a “dusty mauve burgundy”.
I found Tulle to be a very browned burgundy. In fact, I didn’t even see it as a burgundy until I read Colourpop’s description.
Lychee is a very fuchsia violet. It can be bright pink or light purple depending on the time of day, my outfit colors or how tan my face is.
Tulle is on the top, Lychee on the bottom.
Tulle was very nice to work with. It lasted for 6 hours without a touch up, only wiping off when I ate dinner. It felt comfortable on my lips and wasn’t drying or patchy.
Lychee was more problematic. It took about 15 seconds for the first coat to dry, so I had to wait on that. It lasted for 4 hours without a touch up. It faded somewhat by the fourth hour, and it was uneven. It left behind something of a stain. The color had not completely faded but it was obvious I needed a touch up. The color is amazingly gorgeous so I will work with the flaws.
Pros: Beautiful colors, very affordable, feels nice on the lips, comes in nice packaging.
Cons: Lychee fades faster and is somewhat uneven when it fades.
Grades: Tulle (A), Lychee (B+)
