So, babes, we are reviewing for today this drugstore foundation.
It was actually sold out in my shade at all the local stores. I had to travel into another district to find Caramel Beige.
From the website: ”
Achieve a matte finish that won’t fall flat with this air-light, longwearing liquid formula. Lightweight and creamy, foundation goes on smooth with a demi-matte finish that lasts up to 24 hours—hiding imperfections for a smooth, clear complexion.
To apply, use fingers or your favorite makeup brush.”
So, there is Pro-Glow for people who need hydration. I selected Pro-Matte because you could lubricate an entire herd of horses just using the oil from my face.
Not that anyone would ever want to do that.
Caramel Beige is the shade that matches me best.
And here it is blended.
This wore well for 8 hours. My face stayed matte for 8 hours straight with no powder. It even helped my blush stay on for hours. It looked a little heavy, so natural it is not but the finish wasn’t too too obvious. It made my face look smoother and more even.
I applied this with my fingers and experience good blending results with virtually no issues. It smooths onto my face and isn’t cakey or streaky. Since it is a foundation that’s meant to last I would start with a little and add as needed. I really like the packaging. It’s quite compact, making it easy to fit into a purse or on a dresser.
My issue with it is the same with almost all L’Oreal foundations: the shade is a little too beige for me. I am going to make this work with either a corrector or banana powder, but I wish to goodness L’Oreal would release yellower/more golden foundations.
Pros: Great staying power, good matte finish, affordable (I bought mine on sale and used a coupon!), easy to use packaging, easy to store packaging.
Cons: Doesn’t offer a great range of shades and undertones.
