When the first MAC sample sale was held in NYC, I went to check it out and came away with four lip products.
L-R: Anything Goes, Aim To Please, Lover’s Lane and Be Silly.
I’ve been wanting Lover’s Lane for a while so I was glad I got it for around $8 or less.
Anything Goes is described as a “rosey fuchsia matte”.
Aim To Please is described as a “dirty mauvey brown matte”.
Lover’s Lane is described as a ” deep orange matte”.
Anything Goes and Lover’s Lane both look great on me, but they are not as opaque as I would like them to be. They allow my two toned lip pigmentation to peek through, but I have to admit I can live with this. Besides, I can always use a lip liner under them if it really bothers me.
Be Silly is described as a “hot fuchsia pink matte”.
This color is really gorgeous and strong. It’s definitely not for the shy.
I have to cover the hyperpigmentation around my mouth area before ii put this on. It looks like it can work for a variety of skin tones because there is no blue in it.
I really like everything I bought. I’m undecided on keeping Be Silly because I wear hot pink so infrequently it may not be worth keeping.
Do you own any of these? Have you tried the Velvetease lip pencils?
