Review: Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black

Amazingly, I have never done a review on Revlon ColorStay eyeliner. I used it years ago and it’s always available at the store. I’m surprised I never wrote one!

So here is the long overdue review. 🙂

The packaging is slim and sleek. It’s one of the slimmest pencils I’ve ever used.

It’s a mechanical pencil with a sharpener at the opposite end.

The color is a soft black, not an intense black.

It lasted 7 hours on my upper lashline and about 3 hours on my lower lashline. It faded a little on the upper lashline by the seventh hour, and there was a little bit left on my lower lashline by the third hour but most of it was gone.

The pencil applied smoothly with no skipping or tugging. It could get a bit dry, but when it’s kept in a mild temperature environment and properly capped, it’s fine.

Pros: Affordable, easy to obtain, easy to use, convenient/portable packaging, good for the upper lashline.

Cons: Doesn’t last on the lower lashline, not as black as it could be.

Grade: B

  1. I remember using this eyeliner sometime in the last ten years or so, but I want my liner to be intensely black, so it was a fail for me.
