NYX Powder Blush in Desert Rose

I owned this years ago, but I got rid of it because it didn’t wow me, and  I wanted to try out different blushes.

Someone gifted the same Desert Rose blush to me, so let me give you all some swatches.

It comes in that familiar geometric imprinted pattern on the top, in a square black compact.

Here is the swatch:

Here it is with a couple more swipes of color (to enhance the color).

Unlike the first time I used this, I’ve been experiencing better results. I use a fan brush to apply, and I only apply it to the top of the cheekbones. The first time around, I used a regular blush brush and that made me look like a clown. Scary!

It still fades on me after 4 or 5 hours. So not the best wear time but for $5 it’s not a bad budget product.

It’s a dark rose pink with some shimmer. I found that it wasn’t such a bad shade for my NC42 skin, but it could look garish if I applied too much.

Have you ever tried a NYX blush?
