L’Oreal HIP Shocking Shadow Pigment in Visionary

Say hello to this blast from the past: an eyeshadow from L’Oreal’s old HIP line.

I’ll never fathom why they discontinued the HIP line. It was fantastic! It was like a drugstore version of MAC, only better.

Anywhozit, let’s look at the gold shade I found on EBay.

It comes in a little jar with a handy eyeshadow brush.

Look at the pigmentation on this swatch! It’s like liquid gold.

Fortunately it’s not real liquid gold. That would be painful.

As you can see, L’Oreal execs are a real doozy for discontinuing the HIP.

Are there any gold pigment powders you love?
