Review: L’Oreal Infallible Matte-Matic Liner in Deep Brown

I’m always pulled in by a cute brown eyeliner.

I like things that are brown and cute. Therefore I like myself.  🙂

It comes in a sealed package.

It’s a mechanical pencil that comes with a sharpener.

The pencil tip drops down unless I hold it in place at the middle of the tube.

It gives a nice medium brown color. It’s not exactly deep brown but it’s of a good pigmentation.

The pencil applied a little stiffly but I was able to make it work. It left a bare line of skin just above my upper lashes but I smudged some in and covered that up. Once it was on, it stayed on. On my lower lashline it felt scratchy and a little uncomfortable to apply. Once it was on it looked nice but it faded after 4 hours. On my upper lashline it lasted 8 hours.

It is matte but I don’t think of it as a gel color (the company claims this). L’Oreal also claims this can last 24 hours. I don’t know anyone who would want to wear it for 24 hours, but I doubt it would last that long. Once I got it to work, it did wear nicely for a few hours.

Pros: Nice color, lasts a while on upper lashline, easy to obtain, affordable.

Cons: Doesn’t last for 24 hours, stiff and hard to apply, faulty packaging.

Grade: C

I was looking for a good eyeliner now that my eyes have mostly healed, but this isn’t it. Thanks for the warnings.
