Maybelline Color Whisper Lip Color in Berry Ready

A few years ago, Maybelline released their version of Revlon Lip Butters, calling them Color Whispers. I ordered one shade from Amazon a while back.

Berry Ready is ready for their up close interview.

Berry Ready is a berry creme shade that is sort of raspberry.

Now, when I say creme, I mean it is not matte or shimmer or frost. It is more of a creme than anything else.

This is one of those lip products that exists in a hybrid state. It is not a true lipstick or a true tinted balm. It is somewhere in between.

Since it is meant to not be an actual lipstick, I was surprised to find it lasts quite a bit on me and is more opaque than I expected.

It does fade by the fourth hour of wear. I think this is sort of impressive because even Revlon Lip Butters (which I really like) need a bit of touching up before I get to four hours of wear.

I think if you like softer, tinted balm products you’d like this. I like it a lot and I plan on keeping it.
