Gee whiz, I’ve been gone a whole week! My office went on vacation last week on Wednesday, my friend Ana got married on Thursday (had to get up at 6am to get to city hall by 8:30am and let me tell ya, it’s a miracle I didn’t kill anyone in a fit of sleep deprived rage), I recovered from the resultant pain caused to my legs and feet from wearing my accursed (but gorgeous) Stuart Weitzman boots on Friday, rested and shopped for soapmaking supplies on Saturday, and Sunday was mah birfday!
My friend and I went to King’s Carriage House for afternoon tea. It was scrumptious and lipsmackingly good. Afterwards we went to Bloomingdale’s (but while Jan went home to drop off some briefs I went to Sephora). I bought some Charlotte Tilbury makeup and a Clarins eyeliner.
I was allowed to choose my Sephora gift, so I chose the Caudalie skin care duo. The second item was a Tarte set. I picked up the Fresh Age Renewal eye cream because I need something really heavy-duty for these fine lines.
At Bloomingdale’s I swatched Walk of Shame and Bond Girl. I chose Bond Girl because it’s less red (I’ve been wearing red for months). I also bought Hollywood Honey lip liner.
At the Clarins counter the sales person was very nice and gave me samples of two eye creams (one was a deluxe sample) when I bought the Instant liquid eyeliner. I’ll be talking about the samples in a post later on.
So, that’s the story of how your favorite 32-year-old spent her birthday! Which products would you like to see reviewed first?
