What’s In My Medicine Cabinet?

This post is brought to you by depression, low spoons and a lack of new ideas.

I’m only joking. I’m mostly joking about the third thing. The other two are real for me.

I once read an Editor’s Letter written for Allure magazine by Linda Wells about her curiosity over other people’s medicine cabinets. She wrote of not wanting to find out the more ignominious contents such as Viagra and Prozac. She wanted to know if they were Eucerin lotion and Dial soap types, or if they splurged on caviar-enriched creams, stocked up on Italian toothpastes, and relied on vitamin C serums for radiant skin. Things of that nature.

Ever since reading that, I’ve been pondering the medicine cabinet and its function in all households. Does what a person use the cabinet for say a great deal about them?

I’ll show you all the contents of mine if you promise not to judge me.

I don’t know…….I think the contents reveal that I am a beauty blogger, don’t they? 😀

On the top shelf: Sunday Riley Luna oil, Middle Eastern rose water, three Ole Henriksen products, Kate Somerville pimple treatment, Origins face cream, a Dr. Brandt product, Korres face serum, Ole Henriksen face cream, Tocca Florence sample perfume, Sprinkle with Grace face serum.

On the third shelf: Ole Henriksen Empower Me cream, Ole Henriksen walnut scrub, bottled rose water, Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum, Fresh soy cleanser and rose mask, Caudalie moisturizing sorbet, Clarins instant eye reviver, French Girl facial polish, another Dr. Brandt product, Melissa Flagg Posies & Co. What’s in your medicine cabinet?

  1. My medicine cabinet? Toothbrushes, tweezers, a couple of bladeless razors. Everything “important” is actually in the hall “linen” closet. Weird setup, I know.

  2. My medicine cabinet reveals that I am a doctor and mother. It holds everything to treat any common diseases as well as a few more uncommon ones. My current skincare is under the sink in a small drawer, my collection in the basement.
