Tuesday Talk: Self Care Sessions Vol. 36

It’s been a while since I’ve talked about self-care. I no longer push myself to post weekly. Sometimes it’s difficult to muster up the energy to post.

How was your week? Did you do anything fun? I got some quiet, easy days off in. I was super sick last week, so I didn’t work for two days. I don’t feel guilty about calling out because my health always comes first.

Here’s my self-care for the week:

1) The music of Joel Frederiksen. He’s a bass profundo singer who specializes in classical music. His voice is so comforting for my complex PTSD. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aky_KplzBuE

2) I bought a few things I’ve been wanting on eBay.

3) A friend of mine entered a giveaway to win some products from Ms. Andry Bath House. She didn’t win, so I ordered some of the same products for her. This way she won’t be too disappointed.

3) I saw “Beauty and the Beast”. It was okay. I’m just happy I watched something lighthearted.

4) I placed my order from Sephora using the current discount code. It seems like the discount reduces every year, but I’m still grateful to obtain several lemmings using a discount.

I’m really overjoyed about the warm weather. It means garden visits. 🙂

  1. Not pushing yourself is probably the best way of self care. We had a few quiet days in as well, just me and the kids. My husband needed to work two days of the bank holiday weekend, but he joined us on Sunday for some family time. We did stay in quite a bit, because it was raining and got super cold again. After a really warm March it was time to turn on central heating, it is freezing at night.

I was thinking the same thing about the Sephora sale! I could’ve sworn I had a 20% off coupon at some point. I ended up getting some items from Ulta instead. Enjoy the rest of your week! 🙂

  3. Oh, you absolute darling, I’m happy crying <3!!!! I'm so glad you're feeling better!
I'm having such an up and down spring here…I love that it's warmer, but I've been too gimpy to get into the garden. I have to wait for my medical intervention…doctor on vaction. So I'm adoring all of the flowering trees and chaffing to get into the garden. I have bulbs and seeds to plant. Digging in the dirt is majical and always makes makes my spirits rise.

    I love you ❤

  4. I want to watch beauty and the beast.. 😦
