Gosh, it’s been ages since I did one of these. I just wasn’t in the mood. My depression roared up with a vengeance and I did the bare minimum in self care. I didn’t have anything to report back.
I’ve been doing better. Here is what I’ve done this week:
- Spent time in bed. I’ve been cuddling under the covers while watching TV or listening to music. I’m just not going to bother getting out of bed when I’m depressed. It’s much easier to cope when I’m warm and comfortable.
- I’ve been marathon watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. At least she can fight her demons.
- I bought THC’s “Need to Destroy”. Watching Buffy reawakened my adoration for 1990s alternative/club bands and the music they play. THC disbanded some years ago but their music is still around.
- Deactivated my Facebook account for a week. It was nice to disconnect and not feel overwhelmed by politics or the state of the world.
