I’ve never taken French, so I had to Google what “prune plaisir” means.
Ostensibly, it means “pleasure plum”. Huh. What an interesting name for a lip product.
This only motivates me to learn French (finally) so I can translate without relying on Google.
This particular product seems to be for the UK market. I could not find it in the U.S so when I friend jetted off to London, I asked her to buy this for me.
It’s a double ended product. One end is the color product, the other is a moisturizing balm.
The color is a vibrant hot pink with somewhat violet tones. I didn’t find this to be too blue on me, but it was quite bright. Brighter than I’m used to.
How did it perform? It held up quite well in terms of performance and quality. It lasted for about 6 hours without fading, but it did come off a little after a meal. I needed to reapply it after eating and drinking.
Pigmentation was good, with opaque color being achieved with a couple of swipes. I detected no strong scent and it product wore comfortably without any drying or flaking.
I don’t think I’ll keep this because the color isn’t something I wear often, but I wouldn’t mind trying a few more from the line.
This costs £8.99.
