Tuesday Talk: Self Care Sessions Vol. 37

I’m happy to report today that my self care has improved lately.

1) I went to therapy on Saturday. My therapist is very nice and seems to want to help me. It was a session meant to gather information for my insurance company so they can authorize payment. I didn’t get to really delve into my issues, but this is still a great first step.

2) After therapy I made an impromptu trip to the Cosmetics Market and bought Loacker chocolates, Royal Dansk wafers, Walker’s shortbread and of course some makeup! The store is known as a makeup store, but they sell other things like housewares, perfumes, costume jewelry and fine treats like European chocolates and biscuits. For makeup I got Clinique lipstick in A Different Grape, Yes to Tomatoes face mask, and three nail polishes: Essie Chocolate Cakes, OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui, and China Glaze Masai Red.

3) I’m still watching Buffy. I’m on Season 5.

4) I finally got the Tory Burch Sophia dress, and for a great price too. Kate Middleton owns the same dress.

What did you do for self care this week?

I am a human pet to two cats, a full time college student majoring in Cultural Anthropology and an organic food enthusiast (read: organic food freak) who cooks, bakes, and has not burned down the kitchen (I'm waiting for it). 1. I ate a huge pizza and fell asleep on the vouch watching Gilmore Girls on Monday. Does that count as self care? And yesterday I made Empanadas and danced in the kitchen with my husband to Latino music in reminiscence of our Chile roadtrip many years ago.
