Essie Nail Polish in Chocolate Cakes

Essie describes this as “rich and delicious. this creamy dark chocolate brown lacquer creates a decadently sensuous manicure that’ll have them begging for crumbs of your affection.”

It does remind me of Hershey’s chocolate syrup. It’s a deep rich brown crème that doesn’t sink into almost black territory.

I’ve been wanting Chocolate Cakes for a while now, but as with OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui, I couldn’t justify buying this until I saw it priced at $3 at the Cosmetics Market.

It looks great on the first day, but chips after 4 days. Not so bad given that I do type a lot and I work with my hands quite a bit.

I’ll try this with a top coat and base coat next time. Would I recommend it? If you want to add a chocolate brown crème to your nail polish community, this is a decent one to choose. If not, it’s not collectible-worthy enough for you to be hunted down.
