Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Coverage Foundation Concentrate in Honey Light 52

I splurged on this much gabbed about foundation during the VIB sale. Does it live up to the hype? Let’s find out!

From the website: “INSTANT FULL COVERAGE. ALL-DAY WEIGHTLESS WEAR. LESS IS MORE.

THE WEIGHT IS OVER: 24-HOUR FULL, FLAWLESS COVERAGE IS YOURS IN AN INSTANT WITH THIS ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT FOUNDATION CONCENTRATE. THIS REVOLUTIONARY OIL-FREE FORMULA CONTAINS TWICE AS MUCH PIGMENT AS A LEADING FULL-COVERAGE FOUNDATION, BUT IT IS EMULSIFIED WITH GROUNDBREAKING INGREDIENTS SO THE SMALLEST AMOUNT COMPLETELY COVERS WITH DOT-ON PERFECTION. PATENTED GOLDEN PIGMENTS ARE WRAPPED IN LECITHIN, AN INGREDIENT THAT IS BIOCHEMICALLY SIMILAR TO SKIN, FOR IMMEDIATE, EFFORTLESS BLENDING AND A SMOOTH, SOFT MATTE FINISH.

THE INNOVATIVE DOT APPLICATOR ALLOWS FOR BUILDABLE, CUSTOM COVERAGE. SIMPLY SHAKE, DOT AND BLEND FOR PERFECTION SO UNPRECEDENTED, IT’S RE(MARC)ABLE.

FULL COVERAGE IN A DOT: DOT APPLICATOR ENSURES THE PERFECT AMOUNT

JOJOBA, SUNFLOWER, ACACIA AND MIMOSA EXTRACTS IMPROVE BLENDABILITY

PATENTED GOLDEN MICA DELIVERS SUPERIOR RADIANCE“

The foundation comes in a chic glass bottle with a long stemmed applicator.

The silver coated handle sort of screws into the mouth of the bottle. I think it’s a nifty design. It’s secure, and not difficult to pry open.

The dot applicator ensures a limited dispensary of product. This foundation is not intended to be used in copious amounts. It is difficult to overdo application with this unique dispenser.

Here is the swatch:

So what do I think of this gasp-inducingly expensive, 90s supermodel level chic, hefty bottle of face goop?

I think it’s pretty darn amazing. It covers my skin beautifully, doesn’t look cakey or unnatural, and I only need a little bit of it to cover my whole face. The claims made by MJ are true.

It is bank account-draining expensive, so you’ll have to decide if your foundation needs warrant a product like this. It’s great from the start and all around, so it will be a win for sure. If you have a foundation you already love and can afford, you probably don’t need this.

This costs $55 USD.

  1. How about the finish? Luminous, natural, matte? And how long does it last?

I like this foundation and the applicator is unique. I do find myself looking cakey if I overdo it on the amount I applied.
