Reviva Labs very generously sent me some of their products to try out. This fab scrub is one of them. Let’s see how it fares on my combination-oily skin….

The container holds 2 ounces of a thickish scrub.

I like the consistency of this. It’s easy to spread out and doesn’t drip down your face.

It has a floral scent that doesn’t appear to be too strong. It goes away after I rinse my face.

From the website:

“Reviva’s new Pomegranate / Lactic Acid Exfoliant features
all-natural ingredients. Lactic acid and a complex of plant & herbal
extracts remove dead skin; pomegranate, a strong antioxidant, fights future skin
damage and peptides, allantoin and soy treat past skin damage. Non-abrasive,
each application of the mild, new exfoliant (can be used 3 times weekly), leaves
skin looking clearer, brighter and feeling smoother”

I find this to be an effective exfoliant. It’s not harsh at all, and the scrubbing particles are just the right size and amount to give me a thorough exfoliation. I am a little hard to please when it comes to scrubs. I feel like a lot of them are not tough enough to make my skin clean.  I always prefer harsher scrubs. This one surprised me by being relatively gentle, but effective. I think this could even work for sensitive skin if you take care not to rub too vigorously.

After using it, my skin felt very smooth and soft. I’m feeling my face right now, and it’s amazing how smooth it feels! The only claim I did not personally experience was a brighter complexion.

Price: $19. This may seem a little pricey, but if you don’t exfoliate daily, it should last you quite a while.

Ingredients: Demineralized water, vegetable oil, bentonite, glyceryl stearate, zinc oxide, kaolin, cetyl alcohol, glycerin (veg), pomegranate extract, lactic acid, thyme, ground pepper, bran, palmytol tripeptide-3, allantoin, soy, oregano leaves, xanthan gum, polysorbate 20, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, citric acid.

Pros: Not abrasive, exfoliates well, good consistency, makes skin feel softer and smoother scent is not overpowering.
Cons: Nearly $20 for 2 oz (might be pricey for some folks).
